On a wall along Upper Changi Road is yet another heritage mural by Mr. Yip Yew Chong. This mural is probably my favourite. This one is a mural of kampung (Malay: "Village") life; something I am well familiar with, coming from a country where kampungs are still well and alive.
It shows elements of how people once lived in kampungs and the diversity of the kampung community (the mural shows a kampung where a Malay and Chinese family live in peace and harmony).

The mural comes to life because of the plants, trees and other foliage surrounding it. It's a nice piece of art among the many landed houses in the area, as well as a picture into the past.
