Little India; Singapore

I've always made it a point to visit the Chinatown of each country I'm in when I travel. But during my trip to Singapore I decided to mix things up a little and instead of visiting Chinatown in Singapore, I made a visit to to Little India. And I am glad that I did make the change, Little India was a wonderful mix of art, culture, food (though I forgot to take photos of the food there) and colors. It was a feast for all the senses and for the mind body and spirit.

A Different View of Manila Bay

I took these photos the same day I was on the Esperanza (Greenpeace's ship that docked in Manila Bay last month) with my point and shoot digital camera. It's a view of Manila Bay on the water, instead of the usual photos that are taken on Roxas Boulevard.

Greenpeace Esperanza ("Hope")

Today I was in Manila Bay on board Greenpeace's ship named Esperanza (which is Spanish for "Hope") with members of Greenpeace, the media and scientists of the University of the Philippines Diliman Marine Science Institute. I'm currently working as a research assistant for a project on biodiversity and resilience.
